The latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) volleyball poll shuffled the standings of it's Top Ten from the previous week, but the Minnesota College Athletic Conference maintained four places in the comprehensive Top 10.
The October 17th poll has Ridgewater College returning to the front of the MCAC pack and 4th place overall in the NJCAA rankings. Right behind the Warriors is Central Lakes College, who is the only remaining MCAC team without a defeat in Divisional play. The 11-0 Northern Division stalwarts from Brainerd are listed #5 in the poll, while St. Cloud Technical and Community College is #6, falling one spot from the #5 spot last week. Minnesota State is the fourth and final MCAC squad to be recognized, riding their 12-7 overall record to #8, according to the NJCAA volleyball rankings committee. Several teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference will be on the Coon Rapids campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College over Thursday and Friday of this week for the annual MCAC Crossover Tournament. This fall, the Crossover is spononsored by Twin Cities Gateway, which is the regional visitors bureau representing the communities of Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Ham Lake, Lino Lakes, Mounds View, New Brighton and Shoreview, Minnesota. The two-day Crossover Tournament will feature 12 of the 16 MCAC Volleyball programs, as teams seek a final tune-up heading into the last weeks of the regular season.
