The fourth and final spot for the NCJAA Region XIIIA volleyball tournament will be determined via a playoff between M State and Minnesota West CTC. 

The Spartans and LadyJays finished the MCAC season even on Divisional records at 9-5 and split in their two matches in 2017. Each squad earned a 3-2 win at home during the fall. 

The playoff match will be conducted at M State, in Fergus Falls on Wednesday, November 1st, with a 6:30pm start time. The Spartans won a coin flip conducted by the Minnesota College Athletic Conference on Sunday evening. 

The winner of the Wednesday playoff will join the host school, St. Cloud Technical & Community College, Ridgewater College and Rochester CTC in the Region XIIIA tournament. The Region XIIIA tournament will be held in St. Cloud, Minnesota with match times to be determined.  On Friday,  #2 Ridgewater will face #3 RCTC and #1 SCTCC will play the winner of the MnWest/M State playoff contest.
