On Monday, May 15th, the NJCAA national office announced the 2017 Division III Softball seeds and parings for the eight-team, double-elimination national championship tournament.  MCAC members St. Cloud Technical and Community College and Itasca Community College both earned their way to the big dance over the weekend with strong performances on the mound and at the plate. 

Both teams took home their divisional championships in the South (SCTCC)  and North (ICC); the Cyclones were dominant at 21-1 in the MCAC South while Itasca battled their way to a 10-2 league mark.  More importantly, both SCTCC and ICC were able to outlast the competition in their Region XIII tournaments and qualify for the NJCAA national tournament to be held in Rochester on May 18-20.
