Rochester, MN-
The Central Lakes College volleyball program has been tabbed as the inaugural "MCAC Team-of-the-Week", a new awards initiative sponsored by the United States Marine Corps to be conducted over the 2018-19 academic year in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.
Led by veteran head coach Jane Peterson, the Raider team enters 2018 as the No.3 ranked program nationally in NJCAA Division III volleyball. And, like many other programs across the Conference, CLC jumped into pre-season workouts to prepare to defend not only their lofty national ranking, but also their 2017 MCAC Northern Division regular season title and NJCAA Region XIIIB championships as well.
Despite their current rankings and expectations which come with them, Coach Peterson and her Central Lakes squad took time out in their practice week to volunteer at a local Habitat-for-Humanity building project in Brainerd, Minnesota.
