Golden Rams Double Up on Team-of-the-Week Honors

Continuing a theme for the fall, the U.S. Marine Corps Team-of-the-Week award in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference will be shared between two programs. Unique to the honor this week however, is that two squads at the same school in the same sport will claim those honors.

With both programs led by head coach  Brady Eichhorn-Hicks, the men's soccer and women's soccer teams at Anoka-Ramsey Community College have been tabbed the U.S. Marine Corps "Team-of-the-Week" for the week ending October 13.

Both Golden Ram squads finished in first place in the MCAC soccer regular seasons and have earned the right to host NJCAA Region XIII competition.  The ARCC women's program has a semi-final round bye and will take on the winner of No. 2 Lake Superior College and No. 3 Rochester Community & Technical College.

On the men's side, Anoka-Ramsey shall host Minnesota West CTC, with the BlueJays fielding a varsity team for the first time in 2018.  The other semi-final shall feature No. 2 Lake Superior College and No. 3 Riverland looking to advance to the championship.  ARCC currently has a 8-7-0 overall record and a 4-1 MCAC mark.

Combined, the men's and women's soccer teams at Anoka-Ramsey have produced a 18-9-0 record for the ARCC coaching staff with an impressive 8-1 MCAC slate. With dominant 2018 fall campaigns, the Golden Rams are the MCAC / U.S. Marine Corps Team(s)-of-the-Week.
