Siewert Earns Opportunity for National Championship

Rochester Community & Technical College wrestler Shane Siewert has advanced to the 2019 NJCAA Wrestling National Championship semi-final round at the 174 lbs. division. 

Siewert - the top-seeded athlete in his weight class - will head to the semi-final round tomorrow with the opportunity to compete for the NJCAA National Championship in his division. 

The Lake City, Minnesota product will face off with Ashton Eyler (Iowa Central) for the right to compete for the NJCAA National Championship.

Rochester was placed 8th in the final NJCAA Top 20 poll to conclude the regular season; fellow MCAC program Itasca Community College earned 'Receiving Votes' status as well.
