In just over a month, Minnesota will join the rest of the U.S. in celebrating National Girls and Women in Sport Day on Wednesday, February 5th, 2020. The 2020 version of the event marks the 34th year of the special day.

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference is one of many college athletic conferences seeking to highlight this nationwide celebration recognizing the accomplishments of individuals in the promotion and advancement of girls' and women's sports.

Individual colleges across the state, including several MCAC schools, will promote NGWSD at events on campus during the first week of February. The Minnesota History Center will serve as host to the main event and honors recognition ceremony, which runs from noon to 1:30pm on Wednesday, February 5.  The event is free to attend and all are welcome to join the celebration.
