Central Lakes Softball Players Sweep Weekly Awards

With spring around the corner and the collegiate softball season getting underway throughout the NJCAA, two softball student-athletes from Central Lakes College have been named the Northern Division Player and Pitcher of the Week within the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.

Jenna Gratz

Central Lakes College pitcher Jenna Gratz had an amazing start to her season this past week and has been tabbed as the MCAC Northern Division Pitcher-of-the-Week for her performance. 

Gratz, a freshman pitcher, has been named the Pitcher-of-the-Week for her performances through the week of March 8-14th.  The Oregon, WI product threw a complete game, giving up 4 hits in 6 innings of work earning a 3.5 ERA in her first win of the season. 

Gratz also went 3-7 from the plate with 3 RBI and a stolen base. 

Central Lakes is off to a 1-1 start on their season and take the field again on March 26 with match-ups against Bay College, St. Cloud Technical and Community College, and Dakota County Technical College at the Rosemount Irish Dome.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Addie Sanford

Brainerd, MN

Central Lakes College freshman infielder Addie Sanford (Brainerd, MN) put together an impressive week for the Raiders and has been named the MCAC Northern Division Player-of-the-Week for her performance. 

Sanford hit .667 in her two games, going 4 for 6 from the plate with one walk and driving in 3 runs for the Raiders.  She hit two doubles and stole a base on her one attempt.  

Sanford also pitched 4 full innings in relief and struck out 10 while giving up only one run.
