The early season weekly awards continue to pile in for the RCTC softball program and pitcher Emma Bartholomew.  The Jackets have had 3 MCAC players of the week to start the season.  Torrie Klennert has earned the MCAC award while Emma Bartholomew has been selected twice.

This week the NJCAA recognized the early season success of the Jackets and specifically the work of freshman pitcher Emma Bartholomew as they named her the NJCAA Division III Pitcher of the Week. Bartholomew went 3-0 last week throwing 18 innings and striking out 26 batters.  On the offensive side of the ball she had her first collegiate homerun and scored 5 runs in three games.

For the season Bartholomew is leading the nation in wins (7) and complete games (7).  She is 5th in innings pitched (41), 2nd in strikeouts (57), and 4th in strikeouts per game (9.73).

Bartholomew and the Jackets take on Milwaukee Area Technical College and Anoka-Ramsey on Friday in the dome at RCTC, before hosting Rainy River and Gogebic (MI) on Saturday.
