Vermilion Community College freshman Ryan Kling (New Richmond, WI) threw a 3-hit shutout on Sunday against Northland Community and Technical College to pick up his first win of his season and earn him the NJCAA DIII Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week of March 22-28.  In his 7-inning outing, Kling gave up no walks and struck out 12 batters in his team's 8-0 victory.

Kling was also named the MCAC North Division Pitcher-of-the-Week for March 22-28.  In his two starts, Kling is 1-0 with 20 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.00. 

The Vermilion Ironmen take to the field again on Friday, April 2 in Brainerd, MN for the Central Lakes Classic.
