MCAC Football Playoffs Continue on Sunday

Rochester, MN -

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Football Playoffs continue on Sunday, and the semifinal matchups should be excting ones.  

North Dakota State College of Science remains worthy of their #1 seed and undefeated record as they had a convincing win over #8 seeded Mesabi Range College in the quarterfinal game.  NDSCS, with their 9-0 record and a #2 national ranking, play host to #4 seed Minnesota State CTC - Fergus Falls at 1:30 PM on Sunday.  M State defeated Central Lakes College on a last second 47-yard field goal in last week's quarterfinal game to advance to the semifinals.

Itasca Community College, with their #2 seed in the playoffs and #4 ranking nationally, host a semifinal game today at Noon after their 25 point win over Vermilion Community College in last weekend's quarterfinal matchup.  The Vikings will take on the #6 seeded Minnesota West CTC Bluejays.  MN West pulled out a come-from-behind one-point win over Rochester Community and Technical College in their quarterfinal game to advance to the semifinal game.

The winners of each MCAC semifinal will move on the MCAC Championship Game held on November 7 at Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. 

Schedule of the MCAC Semifinals:

#6 MN West at #2 Itasca  12:00 PM

#4 M State at #1 NDSCS  1:30 PM
