The five Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) wrestling programs traveled to Willmar, Minnesota on Sunday, February 20 for the 2021-22 NJCAA North District/MCAC Championship Wrestling Tournament held at Ridgewater College.
Twenty-six individual performers earned the opportunity to advance to the 2021-22 NJCAA Wrestling National Championships held March 4-5 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
MCAC frontrunner and #16 ranked Rochester Community & Technical College (RCTC) won the overall team event, with Itasca Community College claiming runner-up honors. Host Ridgewater College finished third, followed by Minnesota West Community & Technical College and Northland Community & Technical College.

Individual honors included Rochester Community & Technical College student-athlete Walker Ingham earning MCAC Most Outstanding Wrestler and RCTC head coach Andy Hackenmueller being named the 2021-22 MCAC Coach-of-the-Year.
RCTC also claimed the MCAC Dual Championships earlier this season.
