The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its baseball athlete-of-the-week awards for the week of March 21 - 27. The baseball athlete-of-the-week awards are sponsored by the U.S. Marines.
Dillon Eden, Vermilion Community College pitcher, earns the MCAC North Pitcher-of-the-Week after striking out 10 batters over 4 and 1/3 innings of work last week. Ironmen teammate, Cameron Peterson, hit .625 with a triple and 4 RBI in his eight at bats to earn the MCAC North Player-of-the-Week.
Central Lakes College pitcher, Noah Cekalla, is the week's MCAC Central Pitcher-of-the-Week. Cekalla scattered 6 hits over 7 innings and gave up only 2 runs in his win during the week. Ty Kargar, outfielder for Minnesota State Community & Technical College, went 4 for 7 from the plate, hitting .571 with two doubles and a stolen base to earn the MCAC Central Player-of-the-Week.
Max Schumacher, Riverland Community College pitcher, threw 7 innings and gave up only 2 hits and 2 runs in his one appearance last week, and earns the MCAC South Pitcher-of-the-Week honor. Justin Baehler, first baseman for Century College, went 4 for 7, hitting .571 with 4 RBI and a home run to pick up the week's MCAC South Player-of-the-Week award.

Vermilion Community College freshman pitcher, Dillon Eden, appeared in one game of relief work during the week, striking out 10 and walking only 3 in his 4 1/3 innings of action. The Elko, NV product went 1-0 on the week with a 0.00 ERA, giving up 1 hit and two runs in his lone appearance. Eden is this week's MCAC North Pitcher-of-the-Week. The Ironmen are 4-6 on the season, and next play Ridgewater College at Central Lakes College on Friday. |
Cameron Peterson Fr. / CF Callahan, FL

Cameron Peterson has been named the MCAC North Player-of-the-Week. The freshman center fielder for Vermilion Community College went 5 for 8 (.625) from the plate, with a triple and and 4 RBI. The Callahan, FL native scored twice as well. Peterson drove in the go ahead run in the team's win over Minnesota State - Fergus Falls. Vermilion is now 4-6 on the season, and they return to action on Friday when they take on Ridgewater College at Central Lakes College.

Cekalla, from Pierz, MN scattered 6 hits, walking two, and striking out twelve batters in his 1 appearance of the week. He also went 1 for 3 from the plate. The Raiders are 8-7 on the season, and they take the field again on Friday against Ridgewater College. |

The sophomore from Wadena, MN had two doubles, two walks, and a stolen base while scoring 3 runs for his Spartans. The Spartans are 3-5, and next play again on Saturday at Rochester Community and Technical College. |
