The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly soccer awards for the week of September 5 - 11.
Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) goalkeeper, Jordan Weber, has been named the Women's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week. Weber shut out MCAC rival Lake Superior College for her 5th shutout of the season, tops in the NJCAA. RCTC center back, Libby Janka, earned the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award by helping to shut out Lake Superior College and limiting Faith Baptist Bible College to one goal in the wins. RCTC striker, Mia Pierre, earned the week's Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award after scoring four goals on her seven shots this week, with a hat-trick against Lake Superior College.
Jafaar Abdulrahman, Anoka-Ramsey Community College central midfielder, earns the MCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week. Abdulrahman scored four goals and had an assist in the Rams' win over Alexandria College.
