All-MCAC Football Team Recognized; Miller Named Coach of the Year

Rochester, MN -

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) recognized 80 MCAC football student-athletes from the seven participating programs as members of the 2022 All-MCAC Team. These awards were selected by the head football coaches in the MCAC.

After an outstanding and competitive regular season for these athletes which saw Minnesota State Community & Technical College (16 All-MCAC selections) go undefeated and earn the #1 national ranking and North Dakota State College of Science (15 All-MCAC selections) earn a #3 national ranking for much of the season with their one loss coming at the hands of M State, the MCAC/Region 13 Football Championship Game is set to be played between these two teams on Sunday at St. Cloud State University Husky Field.  

Central Lakes College andRochester Community and Technical College each had 13 athletes named to the All-MCAC team. Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range and Minnesota West Community & Technical College each had 11 All-MCAC selections.  Minnesota North College - Vermilion named one athlete to the All-MCAC Team.

The MCAC Coach-of-the-Year is Cory Miller from Minnesota State Community & Technical College.  Miller led his team to an undefeated 9-0 record during the regular season and an NJCAA D-III Football #1 national ranking.  His Spartans will compete as the home team in the MCAC/Region 13 Football Chmapionship Game on Sunday in St. Cloud.  

There will be an All-Region 13 Team and Region 13 Coach of the Year named following the conclusion of the MCAC football playoffs and end-of-season coaches meeting.
