The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly soccer awards for the week of September 11-17.
Rochester Community and Technical College swept the three women's soccer awards for the week. Goalkeeper Chloe Mart earned the MCAC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week award, saving 10 shots and giving up only two goals in 180 minutes of play. Yellowjackets defender, McKenna Baker, had two assists and scored the game-tying goal against Dakota County Technical College to earn the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award. Madison Harden, midfielder for RCTC, earned the week's Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award after scoring the game-winning goal against Alexandria College and adding another goal and an assist.
Riverland Community College swept the men's soccer weekly awards. Goalkeeper, Camden Williams, earned the MCAC Men's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week honor after saving 12 shots without giving up a goal in his 180 minutes protecting the net. Luis Lofego, defender for the Blue Devils, picked up the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award. Lofego led Riverland's defense to two shutouts during the week while taking two shots on goal. Kaleb Tadesse, forward for Riverland, earned the Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week honor after scoring two goals in his three shots on goal and helping his team earn a 3-0 win over Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
