
The top eight teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) will meet this weekend to determine which two teams will automatically qualify for the 2023 NJCAA DIII Volleyball National Tournament. One team from North Plains District 13A and one team from North Plains District 13B will advance, and with the addition of four at-large bids to Nationals, it is possible that others may qualify.
This year, Anoka-Ramsey Community College will host both district tournaments on October 27-28. All games will be played in the Performance Gym on the Coon Rapids campus - 11200 Mississippi Blvd NW.
In the 13A Tournament, Century College claimed the #1 seed, finishing the regular season with a 24-4 overall record and 13-2 in the MCAC South. The #2 seed is Central Lakes College, who went 17-8 overall and 10-2 in the MCAC North. The #3 seed is Minnesota West Community & Technical College after completing their season 23-8 and 13-3 in the MCAC South. Northland Community & Technical College is the #4 seed with their 13-10 overall record and 6-6 MCAC North record.
The 13B Tournament features Alexandria Technical & Community College (16-6 overall, 10-2 MCAC North) as the #1 seed in only their second year of competition. Alexandria won a three-way tiebreaker over Central Lakes College and Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range to become the top seed. Minnesota State Community & Technical College is the #2 seed after tying Century College for the MCAC South title but losing the tie-breaker. The Spartans are 15-13 overall and finished the MCAC South season at 14-2. Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range claims the #3 seed with their 19-6 overall record and 10-2 record in the MCAC North. Rochester Community & Technical College rounds out the field as the #4 seed after going 15-9 overall and 11-5 in the MCAC South.

Admission is $10 for Adults, $7 for Students and Seniors - Cash only.
Admission is good for all matches on one day. No two-day tournament passes will be sold. No refunds will be given.
