Rochester, MN –
The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) and NJCAA Region 13 have announced the All-MCAC and DIII All-Region baseball teams for 2024.
Coaches from the MCAC and Region 13 selected the 36-member All-MCAC and 39-member All-Region teams based on performances from the 2024 season. The members of the All-MCAC Team were automatically named to the All-Region 13 Team, and three athletes from North Dakota State College of Science were added. Since NDSCS is the lone NJCAA DIII baseball program in the Mon-Dak Conference, they are an independent team that plays in the DIII Region 13 Baseball Tournament with the nine MCAC qualifying colleges.
For the second straight season, Century College has had a player named the Region 13 Player of the Year. Following Nick Ibrahim's standout season last year, Seth Tierney put together a historic season for the Wood Ducks. The designated hitter and first baseman hit 20 home runs in 51 games, driving in 78 runs and scoring 44. Tierney picked up 65 hits in his 173 at-bats, with 11 doubles and 24 walks. He hit .376 on the season and had a slugging percentage of .786. The freshman from Eden Prairie, MN had a fielding percentage of .992 with 122 put-outs in 131 chances.
