MCAC Football Athletes of the Week: Week of August 19-25

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its football athlete of the week awards for the week of August 19 - 25.  

Securing their first win of the season over Jamestown JV, North Dakota State College of Science picks up one of the Offensive Player of the Week awards. NDSCS running back Tyvon Cade had 15 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown, lifting his Wildcats to a 27-6 victory. Rochester Community and Technical College wide receiver Tony Edwards earned the other Offensive Player of the Week honor. Edwards had three catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns in a close 28-27 overtime loss to #4 Nassau Community College.  

North Dakota State College of Science defensive lineman Mason Pagel had four tackles (2 solo, 2 assisted), 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss, and four QB hits to earn the Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor.

There were no nominations for the Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award.
