MCAC Football Athletes of the Week: Week of September 23-29

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its football athlete of the week awards for the week of September 23-29.  

Marlon Fluker, wide receiver for Minnesota West Community and Technical College, earned an Offensive Player of the Week award after catching six balls for 184 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Rochester Community and Technical College. Fluker now has 18 receptions on the season for 430 yards.  Jacob Mattick, quarterback for North Dakota State College of Science, completed 15 of 21 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns in the Wildcats win over MNC-Vermilion. Mattick ran the ball five times, scoring a rushing touchdown as well to earn the other Offensive Player of the Week award. 

Khalil Armour, defensive back for Central Lakes College, had six tackles and an interception to earn a Defensive Player-of-the-Week award. Armour now has three interceptions on the season, and he is averaging 5.7 tackles per game. There were no nominations this week for the other Defensive Player-of-the-Week award.  

Robin Braun, punter for Minnesota West Community and Technical College, earned the Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award. Braun had three punts for 118 yards, an average of 39.3 yards per punt. He placed two of the three punts inside the 20-yard line.
