MCAC Football Athletes of the Week: Week of October 7 - 13

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its football athlete of the week awards for the week of October 7 - 13.  

Rochester Community and Technical College wide receiver Jaylen Williams earned an Offensive Player of the Week award after catching nine passes for 270 yards and a touchdown. Williams averaged 30 yards per reception in the Yellowjackets narrow loss to #5 North Dakota State College of Science. Michael Douglas Jr., running back for North Dakota State College of Science, carried the ball 17 times for 146 yards and a touchdown in the Wildcats win over Rochester. Douglas averaged 8.6 yards per carry with a long of 33 yards to earn this week's Offensive Player of the Week award. 

Brysen McLeod, defensive lineman for Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range, had ten total tackles, with three solo and seven assisted, to earn a Defensive Player-of-the-Week award. McLeod also forced two fumbles and broke up two passes in the team's win over M State. Antonio Hunt, linebacker for Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range, earned the other Defensive Player-of-the-Week award. Hunt had four tackles, one of which was for a loss of yardage. Hunt also forced a fumble and had an interception.  

There were no nominations for the Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award.
