MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week: Week of October 7 - 13

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its volleyball athlete of the week awards for the week of October 7 - 13. 

Century College outside hitter Gracie Wenger earned this week's South Division Offensive Athlete of the Week award. Wenger had 42 kills on 103 swings, hitting .310 in her 13 sets. She averaged 3.23 kills per set and added nine aces to help her Wood Ducks' team go 4-0 during the week. Kylee Larsen, middle blocker for Minnesota West Community and Technical College, blocked ten balls in ten sets, averaging 1.00 blocks per set, to earn the South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award. Larsen also dug 11 balls, helping the Lady Jays to a 3-0 record during the week and picking up a key conference win over St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

Alayna Schultz, setter for Alexandria Technical and Community College, had 106 assists in 11 sets, averaging 9.6 assists per set to earn the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete of the Week honor. Schultz also hit .333 with eight kills on 21 attempts. She served 11 aces to round out a strong offensive performance. Maddie Lochner, libero for Central Lakes College, scooped up 59 digs in 10 sets to average 5.9 digs per set during the week. Lochner also served two aces and earned this week's MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award.
