MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week: Week of October 14 - 20

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its volleyball athlete of the week awards for the week of October 14-20. 

Lexi Schreurs, setter for Minnesota West Community and Technical College, earned this week's South Division Offensive Athlete of the Week award. Schreurs led the Lady Jays powerful offense with 69 assists in her six sets played, averaging 11.5 assists per set. She also added an ace and two kills to help MWCTC pick up two more wins. Century College's libero, Madelyn Robillard, earned the South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award. Robillard dug 45 balls in 10 sets, averaging 4.5 digs per set. She also had four service aces in the team's two wins this week.

Meaghan Winters, an outside hitter for Alexandria Technical and Community College, earned the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete of the Week honor after hitting .429 and averaging 5.0 kills per set during the week. Winters had 40 kills in eight sets to lead her Legends to three more wins. Karsen Korpi, Minnesota North College - Rainy River libero, dug 30 balls in six sets, averaging 5.0 digs per set this week. Korpi led a Voyageur defensive effort that resulted in two 3-0 wins and earned her the MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award.
