MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week: Week of October 21 - 27

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its volleyball athlete of the week awards for the week of October 21-27. 

Lilly Wynn, the right-side hitter for Century College, earned this week's South Division Offensive Athlete of the Week award. Wynn had 28 kills on the week, averaging 2.33 kills per set. She ht .419 and served four aces. Century College's libero, Madelyn Robillard, earned the South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award again this week. Robillard dug 62 balls in 12 sets, averaging 5.16 digs per set. She also had four service aces during the week and led her Wood Ducks' team to the #2 seed in the North Plains District 13B Tournament.

Destiny Piekarski, middle blocker for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, earned the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete of the Week award. Piekarski had 37 kills in her 12 sets played, averaging 3.08 kills per set. She hit .309 and served three aces to lead her team into the NJCAA North Plains District 13B Tournament. Maddie Lochner, Central Lakes College's libero, dug 50 balls in seven sets, averaging 7.14 digs per set this week. Lochner served six aces, assisted on three kills, and earned this week's MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award. Lochner's Raiders will be the top seed in the NJCAA North Plains District 13B Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
