Rochester wins 2025 MCAC Wrestling Duals

Rochester Community and Technical College went 5-0 at the 2025 MCAC Wrestling Team Duals at Ridgewater College on Sunday to claim the championship title. This is Rochester's fourth straight MCAC Duals Championship. 

The six-team tournament proved to be a competitive day of wrestling. Bismarck State College, a newcomer to the MCAC this season, went 3-2 to finish second. Northland also went 3-2 on the day but lost head-to-head to Bismarck State to claim the number three spot. Ridgewater College went 2-3 and finished fourth after defeating Minnesota North College - Itasca, who also finished 2-3, head-to-head. MNC-Itasca finished fifth. Minnesota West Community and Technical College finished the day 0-5 and in sixth place.

This MCAC Wrestling Duals help seed the NJCAA Region 13 athletes for the North Plains District Tournament, which serves as the national championship qualifying tournament. The 2025 North Plains District Tournament will be held at Minnesota West on February 23.

  • Rochester defeated Minnesota West 54-0.
  • Bismarck State defeated Northland 31-23.

Round 2:

  • Rochester defeated Itasca 45-11.
  • Bismarck State defeated Ridgewater 34-12.

Round 3:

  • Northland defeated MN West 28-24.
  • Ridgewater defeated Itasca 26-18.

Round 4:

  • Rochester defeated Northland 53-0.
  • Ridgewater defeated MN West 24-18.

Round 5:

  • Itasca defeated MN West 28-17.
  • Rochester defeated Bismarck State 49-6.

Round 6:

  • Itasca defeated Bismarck State 23-22.
  • Northland defeated Ridgewater 33-21.

Round 7:

  • Rochester defeated Ridgewater 50-4.
  • Bismarck State defeated MN West 36-17.

Round 8:

  • Northland defeated Itasca 30-29.
