Worthington, MN-
The six Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) wrestling programs met in Worthington, Minnesota, for the 2025 NJCAA Region 13/North Plains District Wrestling Championships. This year's event was held at Minnesota West Community & Technical College and was used to qualify regional wrestlers for the NJCAA Wrestling National Championships.
Rochester Community & Technical College won the overall team event, scoring 131.5 points. Ridgewater College earned the runner-up award with their point total of 56.0. Minnesota North College - Itasca came in third with 54.0 points. With 50.5 points, Northland Community and Technical College finished fourth, followed by Bismarck State College with 49.0 points and Minnesota West Community & Technical College with 37.0 points.
Thirty-six individual performers earned the opportunity to advance to the 2025 NJCAA Wrestling National Championships held March 7-8 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Andy Hackenmueller, head coach for Rochester Community & Technical College, was named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Wrestling Coach of the Year.
Ridgewater College freshman Tegan Sherk was selected as the MCAC Wrestler of the Year. Sherk won the Region 13/North Plains District championship at the 133 lb. weight class to qualify for nationals.
