The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 3-9.
Hattie Ulrich, a right-handed pitcher for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week honor. Ulrich had two appearances, pitching 3.2 innings and giving up one earned run while walking one. She gave up seven runs on seven hits.
There were no nominations for this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.
Emma Shelton, a right-handed pitcher for St. Cloud Technical and Community College, went 3-0 during the week, throwing 15 innings. She struck out 10 and walked five, while giving up nine earned runs and 29 hits. She compiled a 4.20 ERA for the week to earn the MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week award.
St. Cloud Technical and Community College designated player, Callie Elg, earned this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award after hitting .700 and going 7 for 10 at the plate. Elg had two doubles and a triple. She also drove in five runs, scored four runs, and walked once.
