MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week: Week of April 28 - May 4

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of April 28 - May 4.

Minnesota North College - Itasca right-handed pitcher Addison Linder earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. In her three starts, Linder went 3-0 and pitched a no-hitter in a 13-0 win over Minnesota North College - Vermilion. In 17.0 innings of work during the week, Linder gave up only two earned runs and scattered six hits while striking out 38 batters and walking nine. She also hit .818 from the plate with eight doubles, a triple, and two home runs.  

Kierra Kohoutek, third baseman for Central Lakes College, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.  In her four games during the week, Kohoutek had 12 hits in 14 at-bats, hitting .857 with four doubles and six RBI. She scored 10 runs and walked twice. In two of her games this week, Kohoutek went 4 for 4 at the plate, and in another game, she went 2 for 2 with two walks. Her offensive firepower led the Raiders to four more wins and an MCAC North Division championship.
