MCAC Football Athletes of the Week: Week of October 27 - November 2

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its football athlete of the week awards for the week of October 27 - November 2.  

Kyron Burroughs, running back for Rochester Community and Technical College, earned an Offensive Player of the Week award. Burroughs carried the ball 18 times for 205 yards and three touchdowns in the Yellowjackets' 30-10 win over Central Lakes College in the MCAC Playoff Semifinals. Burroughs averaged 11.39 yards per carry. Michael Douglas Jr., running back for North Dakota State College of Science, earned the other Offensive Player of the Week honor. Douglas Jr. ran for 290 yards on 28 carries, averaging 10.4 yards per carry. He also rushed for four touchdowns in the Wildcats' semifinal win over #4 Minnesota West Community and Technical College.

Rochester Community and Technical College linebacker T'Kyerian Gray earned a Defensive Player-of-the-Week award. Gray had 11 tackles with two tackles for a loss of yardage in the Yellowjackets' win in the MCAC Playoff Semifinals. Daemond Gibbons, defensive back for North Dakota State College of Science, was also named a Defensive Player of the Week honoree. Gibbons totaled seven tackles and recovered a fumble, which he returned for 25 yards in the Wildcats' MCAC Playoff Semifinal win.  

Ryndon Olsen, kicker for North Dakota State College of Science, earned the Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award. Olsen was five for five on extra points and made two field goals in his two tries, with a long of 38 yards. Olsen also kicked off eight times for 486 total yards, an average of 60.8 yards per kick, and had one touchback. He also tallied two tackles on kickoffs against the #4 team in the nation.
