
MCAC Western Division Player-of-the-Week, Offense

Northland Community & Technical College picked up a key victory over No. 15 NDSCS Saturday thanks in large part to the performance of quarterback Craig Wells. Wells passed for 149 yards on 10 completions and a touchdown for the Pioneers, with a longest completion of 69 yards. The freshman from West Palm Beach, Florida also ran 11 times for 39 yards a touchdown for NCTC. Northland now sits at 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the MCAC West. NCTC will play Itasca to close out the regular season on Thursday; kickoff is scheduled for 3:00pm. |

Tristin Murrin claimed his third Defensive POW award of the 2018 season with a 18-tackle performance for Northland CTC in their 14-7 victory over North Dakota State College of Science. Murrin had 15 solo stops among his 18 tackles, including two tackles behind the line of scrimmage against the Wildcats. The freshman from Richmond, Virginia leads the nation in tackles per game, at 14.2 for the year. Northland raised it's record to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the MCAC Western Division. NCTC will play Itasca to close out the regular season on Thursday; kickoff is scheduled for 3:00pm.

MCAC Western Division Special Teams Player-of-the-Week

Alex Knoebel of Dakota College-Bottineau has claimed the Western Division Special Teams POW award on the merits of a strong performance in their 48-2 victory over M State-Fergus Falls. Knoebel as a perfect 6-of-6 on PAT's, connected on two field goals, including a 39 yarder and had two touchbacks on kickoffs. Knoebel accounted for 12 of Dakota's 48 points on the day. DCB concludes the regular season with a 1:00pm contest at Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College on Saturday, October 20.
