Nine football student-athletes from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference have earned NJCAA Football All-America honors for their performances in the 2018 season.
Northland Community & Technical College, Mesabi Range College, Itasca Community College and North Dakota State College of Science each had players from their squads selected by the 2018 NJCAA Football Committee.
On offense, Northland quarterback Craig Wells was named to the Second Team at his position while fellow Pioneer Devonaire Clairington was a First Team pick at tight end. Itasca wide receiver D'Monta Harris was named to the Second Team for his contributions to the Viking season. Additionally, offensive lineman Nick Radunz from NDSCS was named to the First Team, one of two Wildcat selections.
Defensively, Northland linebacker Tristin Murrin earned Second Team honors and Sam Okuayinonu was a First Team pick for Mesabi Range. Norsemen defensive back Darryl Munoz was named as an Honorable Mention selection and North Dakota State College of Science defensive lineman Marshaun Jones was also named Honorable Mention. The MCAC special teams play was represented by Mesabi Range sophomore Connor Cusick who was tabbed in the Honorable Mention placekicker category; Cusick also handed punting duties for MRC this past fall.
The Minnesota College Athletic Conference is the largest non-scholarship football conference in the NJCAA and is comprised of two-year colleges in Minnesota and North Dakota. Divided into two geographic divisions, MCAC football schools compete in a eight-week regular season schedule with the top teams moving on to an quarter-final, semi-final and state championship post-season format.
