The second week of competition in men's basketball around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference has yielded the first Athletes-of-the-Week of the 2019-20 campaign.
Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

Montrell Jacobs Soph./ Guard Milwaukee, WI

The Performance: Riverland sophomore Montrell Jacobs poured in a career high thirty-three points against the junior varsity team of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and led his team to three wins this week. Jacobs was 22-of-43 from the field and 10-of-19 from behind the arc and racked up 62 total points across the three contests. The Blue Devils are 5-0 so far in 2019 and ranked in the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Top Ten.

Mohamed Washington Fr. / Guard Las Vegas, NV

The Performance: In 66 minutes of action over the week, Hibbing Freshman guard Mohamed Washington scored 36 points and hauled in 11 boards. Washington dished out five assists and had five steals, along with a block. The Cardinals picked up a win over Leech Lake Tribal College 87-73 and fell to nationally-ranked Riverland, 95-78. |
