MCAC Soccer Player-of-the-Week

MCAC Soccer Player-of-the-Week

Rochester, Mn-

The Lake Superior College men's soccer program took to the road to take on a pair of NJCAA opponents over the  weekend of September 8th-10th.  The IceHawks picked up a Minnesota College Athletic Conference 7-1 victory over Riverland Community College on Saturday,  in Austin and put up a strong effort against Iowa Central Community College, falling 4-3 on Sunday.

A major contributor in reeling off 10 goals in two games, striker Ian McIntosh of Lake Superior has earned the MCAC Player-of-the-Week honors for his offensive display in the two contests.  Box scores show McIntosh tallying two assists and a goal in the win over Riverland and scoring the third Lake Superior goal in the 85th minute at Iowa Central on Sunday.  For his prowess in both scoring and setting up teammates, McIntoch is the MCAC Soccer Player-of-the-Week for September, 3rd-10th.
