The 2019 soccer season in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference has produced the Week Nine MCAC Athletes-of-the-Week; Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Rochester Community & Technical College have athletes honored for recent performances.
Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

The Performance: Anoka-Ramsey claimed the Region XIII Championship, thanks in large part to sophomore striker Nils Gulbranson. The Golden Ram scored with only two minutes remaining in regulation to tie Riverland at 2-2 and force extra time. Then - with two minutes to play in the second overtime period - Gulbranson scored the OT game winner for ARCC to clinch the hardware... he also had a goal in the ARCC 7-0 win over St. Scholastica's JV team earlier in the week. |

The Performance: In the Region XIII women's soccer championship vs Anoka-Ramsey, Fatima Sanchez Hernandez turned in 14-save performance to keep RCTC in the match. RCTC defeated MnWest earlier in the week, with Sanchez-Hernandez earning the shutout. Rochester concludes their season at 7-6-2 overall. The RCTC goalkeeper played almost 1400 minutes in goal for the Yellowjackets, posting a 1.23 GAA and making 146 saves. |
