The most recent NJCAA Division III Softball national rankings feature four teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. 

Central Lakes College, currently 12-5 on the young season, are the highest-ranked MCAC team, earning the #4 spot from the NJCAA committee.  

In a closely packed group, Itasca Community College (12-7) comes in at #5, with 2017 Southern Division champion St. Cloud Technical & Community College (12-9) ranked #6 and Anoka-Ramsey Community College, (11-8) the final MCAC team at #7. 

Central Lakes is led by a pair of statistical leaders at this stage of the season.  Andrea Wagoner leads the league in both Runs Batting In and Home Runs; the sophomore from Colona, Illinois, has 40 RBI's so far and has hit 11 round-trippers.   In the pitching circle, Kayla Larson (Soph., Isle, MN) has thrown 29.0 innings, striking out 32 batters and carding a 2.90 ERA. 

MCAC Northern Division program Itasca Community College has the top hitter in the league currently, with Talyn McClaflin  (Fr., Big Lake, MN) sporting a .705 batting average and notching 27 RBI's in 19 games played so far. Viking pitcher Anna Peters (Fr., Big Lake, MN) also leads the MCAC in a category, as her seven wins are the most in the Conference to date. 

Southern Division stalwart St. Cloud Technical & Community College features Ashley Pool, who is equally adept at the plate and the pitching circle. A sophomore from Zimmerman, Pool has hit five home runs in 2018 and knocked in 25 RBI's; as a pitcher, Pool is second in the Conference with 52 strikeouts and five wins on the year.  Chelsea Schroeder (Soph., Cold Spring, MN) leads the MCAC in stolen bases with 17. 

Anoka-Ramsey  sophomore pitcher Lindsey Swanson (Mounds View, MN) is tops among MCAC pitchers with 61 strikeouts and has six victories to her credit.   Offensively, Swanson also finds a way to contribute, with 25 RBI's for the Golden Rams.  Teammate Cleopatra Nystrom (Fr., Stillwater, MN) is second in the Conference in stolen bases, with 16 and has 32 hits on the season.
