MCAC Softball Player Nabs Unique Honor

Rochester, Mn-

To say it's been a challenging spring for softball teams around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference would be an understatement as MCAC squads continue to try and find snow-free venues to pick up games during the month of April.  However one student-athlete from Anoka-Ramsey Community College has reason to celebrate as she recently completed a rare 'double' award from the NJCAA.

ARCC Golden Ram  Lindsey Swanson was tabbed both the NJCAA Division III Player-of-the-Week and Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week ending April 8.

Playing in the RCTC Dome against Rochester CTC and Riverland Community College over the weekend, Swanson was dominant at the plate and in the pitching circle for Anoka-Ramsey.  Her impressive stat lines from both roles led to the opportunity to earn both distinctions as Anoka-Ramsey rolled off four successive MCAC victories.  For the complete NJCAA press release, please  CLICK HERE.
