MCAC Softball Weekly Honors

Mother Nature kept several softball programs from around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference from taking the field between April 8 and April 14; however, a few teams found playable conditions and their efforts have yielded a handful of Player-of-the-Week honorees.

Regan Jastram

West Fargo, ND

Regan Jastram, a sophomore from West Fargo, North Dakota and playing at St. Cloud Technical & Community College has been tabbed as the MCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week ending April 14.

As the Cyclone starter in the back-half of a double-header with Anoka-Ramsey Community College, the sophomore pitcher earned the win over the Golden Rams.  In seven innings pitched, she issued only one walk on the day.  Jastram was effective at the plate as well, going two-for-two with a pair of important RBI's late in the contest. 

St. Cloud Technical & Community College is scheduled next to play Riverland Community College on Friday, April 19. 

                                     

Hannah Mondloch

St. Cloud, MN

Hannah Mondloch, a sophomore at St. Cloud Technical & Community College, has been tabbed the MCAC Softball Player-of-the-Week for the week ending April 14. 

Mondloch hit for a .500 average against MCAC foe Anoka-Ramsey Community College, going 3-for-6 with a home run in a Conference twin-bill.  Mondloch knocked in four runs, drew a walk and scored two Cyclone runs herself. Her two-run blast came in the bottom of the 6th inning of the second game and was enough to propel SCTCC to the important Southern Division sweep. 

St. Cloud Technical & Community College is scheduled next to play Riverland Community College on Friday, April 19.
