MCAC Softball Weekly Honors

Rochester, MN-

Softball teams around the Minnesota College Athletic Conference are moving quickly towards the post-season in the 2019 spring campaign.  Several student-athletes stood above their peers in great performances which have been selected as Player or Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday, April 28.

Autumn Slowiak

Marshfield, WI

Autumn Slowiak, a freshman at Ridgewater College from Marshfield, Wisconsin has earned MCAC Southern Division Player-of-the-Week for the week ending April 28. 

Slowiak belted a home run and a triple among her 12 hits in 20 at-bats for Ridgewater. She was also a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen bases, scored nine runs total for the week and drove in four Warrior RBI's. In addition to the monster week at the plate, Slowiak was also perfect on all fielding chances for Ridgewater

Bailey Zenk

Soph. / Pitcher

Blaine, MN

 

Bailey Zenk, a sophomore pitcher at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, has earned the MCAC Southern Division Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week ending April 28. 

Zenk notched two wins - both shut-outs - to lead the Golden Rams from the pitching circle. The Blaine, Minnesota product put together 16 scoreless innings for ARCC, while scattering eight hits over her outings.  Zenk picked up an impressive win with a 1-0 gem over NJCAA Division II Dakota County Technical College.

Haley Price

Soph. / INF

Newfolden, MN

 

Haley Price, a sophomore at Northland Community & Technical College has earned the MCAC Northern Division Player-of-the-Week for the week ending April 28. 

Price, from Newfolden, Minnesota, was 7-of-14 with two home runs and three doubles for the Pioneers. She drove in six RBI's total for the week and scored six runs herself; she also was 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts. 

                                   

Justina Hawley

Soph. / Pitcher

Fernley, NV

Justina Hawley, a sophomore at Rainy River Community College, has earned MCAC Northern Division Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week ending April 28. 

Hawley, from Fernley, Nevada, picked up a pair a wins for the Voyaguers, both key Northern Division victories over Itasca Community College and Mesabi Range College.  In over 20 innings of work, Hawley notched a 4.13 ERA and struck out six batters.
