Final Two Seeds Set for Region XIIIA

Rochester Community & Technical College defeated M State-Fergus Falls at RCTC in a weather-delayed make-up game on Tuesday, Febuary 26.  With the win, the Yellowjackets concluded the 2018-19 season at 7-5 in MCAC play, good for a tie with Minnesota West CTC.  Both teams qualified for the post-season, joining Western Technical College and Anoka-Ramsey Community College as the top four Southern Division sides. 

A post-game coin toss between MnWest and RCTC to allocate the final two seeds in the NJCAA Region XIIIA tournament fell the way of the LadyJays, and Minnesota West will have the No. 3 seed while Rochester will be the No. 4 squad this weekend. 

Top seed Western Tech will face No. 4 Rochester CTC at 1pm on Saturday, March 2.  The opening contest will be followed by No. 2 Anoka-Ramsey taking on No. 3 Minnesota West CTC at 3pm. The championship contest for the Region XIII semi-final winners will be Sunday, March 3 at 1pm in LaCrosse.   All games will be played at Viterbo University in La Crosse; click here for information and directions to Viterbo.  The website for Western Technical College is: https:/www.westerntc.edu
