Two WBB Championships Set for tomorrow

The top seeds held true in both the Region XIIIA and Region XIIIB women's basketball semi-finals on Saturday, leading to a pair of No. 1 vs. No. 2 Championship match-ups. 

WBB Region XIIIA Tournament in La Crosse WI on the campus of Viterbo University:

Sunday, March 3, 2019:

1pm:  ARCC vs. Western Technical College, Region XIIIA Championship

 

In Region XIIIA, No. 1 Western Technical College will face No. 2 Anoka-Ramsey Community College at Viterbo University at 1pm.  Western Tech dispatched No. 4 RCTC by a 74-60 scoreline, while ARCC outlasted a competitive No. 3 MnWest, 77-76.

Region XIIIB saw No. 1 Hibbing Community College come back from a halftime deficit to beat No. 4 Rainy River Community College by a 79-68 final tally.   In the other semifinal, No. 2 Northland CTC defeated No. 3 Central Lakes, 55-50. 

The Hibbing - Northland match-up at 1pm at HCC will be the rubber match between two of the NJCAA's top Division III programs this season; the pair have split at 1-1 in the regular season.
