Yellowjacket earns opening week Wrestling honors

Rochester, Mn-

Auston Hall, freshman from Greenville, S.C., is the MCAC Wrestler of the Week for the opening week of the 2017-18 season.

Hall went 3-1 and finished third at 141 pounds in the season-opening Yellowjacket Open. His day included an opening-round win by fall over Robert Hall Jr. of Iowa Lakes Community College and a 9-5 decision over Hunter Pierce of UW-Eau Claire in the quarterfinals. Following a 13-4 loss to Anthony Fisher of Iowa Lakes Community College in the semifinal round, Hall then earned a 4-1 decision victory over Tanner Reetz of Itasca Community College in the third place match.
