Itasca Community College wrestling student-athlete Dalton Bernett has earned the MCAC Wrestler-of-the-Week for his work on the mat this past weekend.
A team captain, Dalton Bernett led the Vikings to a strong outing at the North County Open Touranment, going unbeaten in the 184 lbs. weight class. See below for more on Bernett's outstanding performance.
Wrestling across the Minnesota College Athletic Conference will culminate on Sunday, February 23 with the North District / Region XIII Championships at Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids.

The Performance: Itasca's Dalton Bernett went 4-0 en route to winning the 184 lbs division of the North County Open on Saturday Jan. 25th. The Viroqua, Wisconsin product came back in the opening round of the tournament to win 22-21 to earn the victory by getting five consecutive takedowns in the third period to prevail. Dalton Bernett is a second year wrestler and team captain for Itasca Community College. Saturday's win represents his first college division tournament championship. |
