Served as a coach in the Spring Lake Park high school program for 17 years, as well as significant experience coaching USVBA club teams. Coach Herlofsky played high school volleyball for nearby Columbia Heights, winning a pair of state championships and was a member of the #1 ranked High School Volleyball team by USA Today. Herlofsky continued her career playing for NCAA Division I powerhouse University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where as a Tarheel, she was named Rookie of the Year in the ACC. She spent one additional year at UNC as an assistant coach upon completion of her playing career.
