The 2019 volleyball campaign is in full swing in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference and the Week Two MCAC Athletes-of-the-Week have been named.   Adidas, the United States Marine Corps and Nicklasson Athletic Company sponsor the MCAC Athlete-of-the-Week awards, and proudly honor the following student-athletes for their performances this past week on behalf of their teams.

The Performance: 

Brianna Sutherland had balanced 16 kills and 16 digs against Century College... The freshman from Grand Rapids averaged 5.3 kills/set and 5.3 digs/set....Sutherland notched a 100% serving percentage and earned a 3 rating on receive.

The Performance:

Rilee Hohbein registered 38 kills & hit .308...had a tournament best .609 against Madison College... registered 5 aces and 14 blocks as well... led SCTCC to a 4-0 performance at the COD Invitational

The Performance: 

Tori Nelson leads the MCAC in total digs and helped lead the SCTCC to a 4-0 tournament run at the College of DuPage Invitational... Nelson had a single-game high of 41 digs against Harper College... overall, the freshman has been a major factor in the 7-1 SCTCC squad

The Performance:

Sydney Hovland collected a total of 110 assists across 4 matches at the COD Invite... the Spartans went 4-0 on the weekend and are 8-0 overall...the sophomore from Underwood, Minnesota had a game-high 39 assists in a four set triumph over Madison College.
