MCAC Wrestling Programs Compete at Region Qualifier on Sunday

Rochester, MN-

The five Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) wrestling programs will travel to Willmar, Minnesota for the 2021-22 NJCAA Region XIII North District Wrestling Tournament held on Sunday, February 20 at Ridgewater College.  This event will also crown one team as the MCAC Wrestling Tournament Champion for 2021-22.

Itasca Community CollegeMinnesota West Community and Technical CollegeNorthland Community & Technical College, and Rochester Community & Technical College will join host Ridgewater College in competition at several weight classes. 

The top individual performances in each division will earn the opportunity to represent their college and the MCAC at the 2021-22 NJCAA Wrestling National Championships held March 4-5 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Competetion begins at 10:00 AM on Sunday in the Ridgewater College Gymnasium.

Tickets are $6.00/day for adults and $3.00/day for seniors and students.  Spectators are required to wear masks while inside the building, and concessions will not be available during the tournament.

In the most recent NJCAA Wrestling Rankings, released on February 3rd, Rochester Community and Technical College sits at the No. 16 spot, and Minnesota West Community and Technical College comes in at the No. 26 position in the poll.
