MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week: Week of October 10 - 16

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly volleyball awards for the week of October 10 - 16.

Lauren Lautigar, Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range setter, earned the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete-of-the-Week. Lautigar had 108 assists in her 9 sets along with 4 service aces. She averaged 12 assists per set and helped the Norse capture the MCAC North title.  Kaisa Reed, Minnesota North - Itasca's libero, earns her third MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete-of-the-Week award this season. Reed had 56 digs in 10 sets, and added 2 service aces to her stat line. 

In the South Division,  Rochester Community & Technical College's setter, Chelsea Lasker, racked up 68 assists in 6 sets, averaging 11.33 assists per set, and she also served 3 aces and added a kill. For her efforts, Lasker earns the South Division Offensive Athlete-of-the-Week award. Avery Wanner, Minnesota State Community & Technical College libero, had 50 digs in 7 sets (7.14 digs per set), and added 2 aces, to earn the South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award.

Noteworthy Information:  Kaisa averaged 5.6 digs per set and had 63 serve-receptions with only 1 error.  She helped her team secure a place in the Region 13 Tournament.
