MCAC Football Athletes of the Week: Week of October 24 - 30

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its final football athletes of the week awards for the season.  These are for the week of October 24 - 30.  

Brady Borgen, wide receiver for North Dakota State College of Science, earned the Offensive Player-of-the-Week honor with his 5 receptions for 132 yards and 1 touchdown in the Wildcats win over Central Lakes College on Sunday in the MCAC/Region 13 Playoff Semifinals.

Deshawn Carter, Minnesota State Community & Technical College defensive back, had 7 tackles, two interceptions, and a pass break up to earn a Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor and help the Spartans advance to the MCAC/Region 13 Championship Game with a win over Rochester Community & Technical College.  Cyrinus George, strong safety for North Dakota State College of Science, earns the other Defensive Player-of-the-Week award after picking up 5 tackles, 1 assist, and 1 interception returning it for 37 yards.

Nik Hunchak, punter and kicker for North Dakota State College of Science, and Keondre Hodges, defensive lineman for Minnesota State Community & Technical College, each earn Special Teams Player-of-the-Week awards.  Hunchak was 6 for 7 on point after attempts and added 2 punts for 90 total yards.  Hodges blocked two RCTC game-tying field goal attempts in his team's 12-7 win.  

#3 North Dakota State College of Science will play #1 Minnesota State Community & Technical College on Sunday at St. Cloud State University in the MCAC/Region 13 Championship Football Game at 1:00 PM.
