MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week:  Week of March 27 - April 2

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 27 - April 2.

Marissa Callahan, right-handed pitcher for Central Lakes College, has been named the MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week.  Callahan went 1-1 in her two starts, throwing 13 innings and giving up 6 earned runs while striking out 24.  She had a weekly ERA of 3.23.  Lily Kostka, shortstop for Minnesota North College - Vermilion, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.  Kostka went 8 for 13 from the plate, hitting .615, with 5 doubles, a triple, and 7 RBI.  She also stole 2 bases.  

Molly Gross, right-handed pitcher for Anoka-Ramsey Community College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. Gross went 2-0 in her two starts, throwing 9 innings of scoreless ball, and striking out 18.  She was 6 for 12 from the plate, scoring 4 runs and driving in 6.  Anoka-Ramsey Community College first baseman, Olivia Thomas, went 8 for 10 from the plate, hitting .800 with a home run and 2 doubles.  Thomas added 9 RBI and scored 7 runs to earn the week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.
