MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week:  Week of April 3 - 9

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of April 3-9.

Marissa Callahan, right-handed pitcher for Central Lakes College, has been named the MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week.  Callahan was 1-0 with a save during the week, pitching 8 innings of one-run ball.  She struck out 14 and gave up only 5 hits with no walks.  Lexie Tatro, shortstop for Minnesota North College - Itasca, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.  Tatro was 11 for 13 from the plate, hitting .846, with 3 doubles, 4 home runs, 7 RBI, and 7 runs. She also picked up a win in relief.  

Molly Gross, right-handed pitcher for Anoka-Ramsey Community College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. In her two appearances and 12 innings, Gross went 2-0 with no runs on two hits and 20 strikeouts, while only walking 1.  She also hit a home run and had 4 RBI.  St. Cloud Technical & Community College shortstop, Emma Imdieke, hit .438, going 7 for 17 from the plate.  Imdieke had 2 doubles and 2 home runs, with 8 RBI and 4 runs to earn the week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.
