MCAC Football Athletes of the Week: Week of October 9-15

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly football athletes of the week awards for the week of October 9-15.  

North Dakota State College of Science running back, Roosevelt Cage, carried the ball 35 times for 211 yards and a touchdown to earn an Offensive Player-of-the-Week award. Cage averaged 6.03 yards per carry against the #4 ranked Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range. Micha Hobin, Rochester Community and Technical College running back, rushed for 142 yards on 12 carries and had one touchdown. Hobin also caught three passes for 32 yards to earn the other Offensive Player-of-the-Week award.    

Michael Coble, free safety for Rochester Community and Technical College, had eight tackles and four pass breakups to earn a Defensive Player-of-the-Week award. Coble also had a 54-yard punt return for a touchdown. Central Lakes College linebacker, Ashton Hanan, earned the other Defensive Player-of-the-Week award. Hanan had 10 total tackles, eight of which were solo tackles, and one tackle for loss.

Rochester Community and Technical College kick returner, Ira Tullous, earned the Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award with his three kickoff returns for 188 total yards, with an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Tullous also recorded six tackles on punt and kickoff coverage.
